Natural Rubber - Commercial

Application

General use, good tensile strength, compression set and a high tear and abrasion resistance, good low temp properties

Avoid

Oils, strong oxidizing agents, ozone, direct sunlight, petrol and decreasing agents

Temp Range

-20 to 70 C

Commercial Insertion

Application

As above with increased tensile and tear resistance

Avoid

Oils, strong oxidizing agents, ozone, direct sunlight, petrol and decreasing agents

Synthetic Rubber

Application

Greases, some inorganic chemicals and oils good ageing and weathering good flame retardant

Avoid

Aliphatic and aromatic or halogenated hydrocarbons and ketones

Temp Range

-20 to 110C

Nitrile

Application

Oils, fuels, petroleum, solvents, good abrasion resistance and compression set

Avoid

Phenols, ketones, aromatic hydrocarbon

Temp Range

-45 – 130C

Silicone

Application

Electrical insulation, sunlight ozone, gases, inherently non stick, diluted acids

Avoid

Aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, abrasion and tear, steam

Temp Range

-70 – 200C

Sepcification Rubber - EPDM

Application

W.R.C. approved for portable water, steam, general chemicals, ageing, weathering, oxygen and the ozone

Avoid

Mineral oils, chlorinated hydrocarbons and aromatic solvents

Temp Range

-40 – 120C
